A friend came across some scuba gear and I offered to help them find out more about it and possibly sell it for them. I found a few setups that look similar on various sites but nothing exact. I happened across this site and decided to create an acct and see if anyone can help with details. I've included pictures which I hope give enough info to help with identification. Thank you folks in advance for your time and consideration!

VERY difficult to tell from those small photos, but the 1st stage and the primary are definitely a prior generation Aqualung Titan, and the computer/console is definitely a Suunto - the text across the top (that I can't read) seems longer than "Zoop" would be, I think the Vyper had the same 3 button layout.

Are the 6th and 7th pictures from the octo with the broken cover? Not sure what that might be - definitely not a Titan octo with that Venturi on the top. Might be an old XLC from Aqualung. Don't be surprised if you can't find a replacement cover for the octo once it is identified.

Looks like an earlier Zoop to me, they came in white, the vyper I've only ever seen in grey. Given the "entry level" first and second stage (titan) it would make sense that the computer would also be an "entry" level model.

I love those early titan first stages. If who ever wants to part with just that let me know, I'm interested. Cheers.

With such small images it's hard to tell. I was going under the assumption that it was grey under bad lighting. But after what you wrote, I took another look at it. The name at the top, while unreadable, is 5 letters long. That's why I said Vyper. But now I'm fairly certain it is the Gekko, which came in white and is the predecesser of the Zoop. I have an old Gekko in white that I had almost forgotten about so got it out and compared it as best I could to the image. They look identical.

What we can all agree on is that the computer is definitely a Suunto. The OP (or his friend) only has to look above the screen to see what model it is.

Ah yes, I actually meant to say Gekko, I'm getting old. I agree with you. The Gekko was white before they put out the orange/Yellow and lastly the black version Zoop. Thank you for clarifying. Cheers.

Oh Geez, my apologies folks! I had posted this in the wrong place the first time, and my second time around, being here, I hadn't realized that the images were not clickable this second round! I'll redo the photo's with this addition so all can get a better view! So sorry for the confusion!

Also, I wasn't sure it was ok to post full sized photo's as other boards, non related, frowned on such things. These look so much better! Thank you folks for all your input and info! Extremely helpful!

I am pretty sure that a replacement cover for the octo is no longer available from Aqualung, so take that into account when you price it. (Yours is not the first thread to include that type of broken cover)
