Thank you, everyone, for the Birthday wishes. Merry and I planned to make a Birthday dive on the elevated pipe off El Segundo this morning. The waves had picked up overnight at El Porto, so I suggested we save gas and dive the barge off Redondo Beach. We arrived to see a fisherman roving over the sight, so we headed for the crane off Haggerty's instead.
Visibility was barely five feet but there were a few subjects to photograph. A Giant Sea Bass swam slowly past me, just out of camera range. I found a small Felimare californiensis on the crane tower section. We photographed two of the three resident moray eels. After an hour of fun, we headed back to King Harbor.
