UTC is introducing their new Underwater Digital Interface (UDI) that utilizes innovative, patented digital messages technology, SOS / homing capabilities, a built-in drive computers, all combined in one easy-to-use, complete underwater communication system that will change your diving experience forever.

It's a wrist dive computer that also has some other features, like 3d compass, text messaging, SOS system, and even an echo locating feature to find your dive buddy.

This unit has diver to diver communications and boat to diver communications.

Guys...
It was great meeting you at the booth. I'm glad you took the time to visit us. (By the way, that's not me far left in the photograph....it's Yuval, the developer of the underlying UDI technology.)

You left out one key point that I'd like to make sure comes across to ScubaBoard members; the UDIs have the capability to transmit pre-defined text messages up to 500 meters from one another. More importantly, if you're in trouble, you can activate the SOS function, which will transmit a message up to twice that distance, and will continue sending out pings so that others wearing an UDI (who are using the device's 3D compass mode) can find you more quickly and get you the help you need.

It's in that respect that most people who've seen the UDI here at DEMA have come to appreciate it as a really cool safety device, that also integrates a dive computer, 3D compass, homing device and more into one unit. And of course, we're not gonna disagree with 'em. :)

Good seeing you again.
