The only rock star I've ever had the pleasure of meeting was Donovan, of "Sunshine Superman," "Mellow Yellow," and "Atlantis" fame. That was in 1985.

I met Huey Lewis at a party in Chicago. And I met the drummer from John Mellencamp's band. Nice guy, he even gave me his drum stick.
As for Led Zepplin, I saw them in the 70's when Jimmy Page broke his finger in Chicago.
I didn't realize the connection to LOTR ..but now that you mention it, I agree. I think Zep 4 has Gandolf on the cover of the album.

There have been a number of rumours about Stairway To Heaven being linked with Jimmy Page's fascination with the occult, but to my knowledge, nothing has ever been proven by it. I believe Jimmy denies it to this day...

Nah, I don't Buy it. I used to Guard Jimmy Page's house when he lived at 76 LaGorce Circle. He is a real nice guy. He would walk up to the shack, and chat with us on occasion. I didn't realize he was "The" Jimmy page, until after he moved back to England.

He is a Real nice guy.

It's definitely something Druid-esque on the cover....

Huey Lewis and the News STILL have the best rendition of the National Anthem I've ever heard, when they sang it a cappella at the 1984 All Star Game at Candlestick Park. I wish I had a copy of it...

Hey Texan,

I couldn't agree more. I was there that night, too. And other games he's done there at the 'Stick and at Pac Bell Park. Without a doubt the best!

The first time I smelled pot was at a Moody Blues concert in Canada's wonderland when I was about 11.

It's an unmistakable fragrance...;)

Love those Moody Blues, especially Your Wildest Dreams and Highway . Gotta love the pipes in Highway .:D :D

Those are good songs. I like " The other side of Life" too. It's such a hot passionate song.
