Just got back from a week in Montserrat. What a great place, if you want the Caribbean like it used to be and unspoiled uncrowded and incredible diving. Lots to see.

Great trip report, thanks.

What prior experiences are you basing this on?

Who did you use for a dive operator? I know people down there.

didn;t use an operator, rented tanks and dove with a local guy we met down there and rented a fishing boat to take us out. Who do you know down there?

Do you have pics? What were the dives, reef, wreck? What made it so great? Was the coral as good as Coz, the sponges good as Cayman, allot of fish, pelagics like Caicos?

What made it so great was, on a bad day ( as I was told) viz was 80ft, lots of marine life to see, everywhere you looked there was life, and all you saw was marine life, no other divers. The reefs were untouched and not over fished.

I did some searching on the web and could not find much in the way of dive shops in Montserrat. Do you know of any?

An instructor with whom I dive here in the Midwest has bought property there and is loading up on gear while making his way through our government's paperwork to live and work there. Plans are to operate a dive shop/resort in the very near future.

Can put you in touch with him if you like.
