For once, I'm in NorCal instead of SoCal on the forums!
I finally got the opportunity to go diving with the friend who finally gave me the kick in the pants to get diving. I thought about it for 10 years, and had a back surgery in between, and even tried to talk it away by saying well I used to have bad asthma as a kid, but he wouldn't let me get away with saying no. So here I am, 3 years and change into diving, and finally made the trek up!
We did two dives before I succumbed to the first cold of the season (it's a snotty one!). The first at the Breakwater, the second at Monastery Beach. Both were flat as flat can be, so I'm assuming you NorCal folks have all the easy diving now.. *ducks*
The Breakwater was a nice leisurely 1:06 dive in 60ºF degree waters, max depth at 33fsw and average 19fsw. My pictures of this one are a bit hazy, but I did get a few that are worth showing:
A nudi, in focus for once!

Starfish, on a stick.

underwater spaghetti

It must be mating season because this scene was everywhere

Me!

My buddy found a bottle

The second dive, Monastery beach, turned out much better. You guys have such nice great viz still water in comparison to anything I've ever seen in SoCal. Another dive of roughly the same at 1:07, temps 62ºF, average depth 20fsw and max 36fsw.
Friendly signs

Flat seas

The set up point (I still need help with tanks in and out, thanks buddy!!!!)

Me!

So time to hop in. Find the Sand Dab

buddy!

All the tiny fishies in all of NorCal must have joined on this dive.

Find the fish!

Even the sea stars have good camo

Find the greenling(s)!

I don't know about this starfish wasting disease because I saw plenty

I'm just amazed at all the sea life in every crevice. There's just so much!

I LOVE these pink anemonies. You've got to go deep to find them in San Diego but here, they're just hanging out everywhere.

That's one big fish!

And the lovely sea hares! Here they're the size of a medium sized pet dog.

Well, my buddy made a video that is better than what I shot and said I could share, so here it is in all its glory:
