i was at monestary beach on sunday and heard some divers saw a great white shark body out there. just wondering if it was a true story or if anyone else heard the same thing.

I spoke to the owner of the dive shop at Break Water and he said most sharks he's heard about are two types around these waters; at BW some have reported leopard sharks. The other has been the great white but at Point lobos and lovers.

I pressed for more info and he said the divers of the GW say they saw it and it swam away as quickly as it came into view; according to him it's time to get out of the water.

But he also said who knows if they are rumors.

I was at BW this past Sunday and around the end of the pipe my dive buddy and I saw a huge dead sea lion on the bottom, no crabs, no bite marks, just a messed up tail fin.

Others have said they have found sea lions at the bottom of the ocean with no head, go figure?

I've seen Leopard Sharks at Lobos and Eric's, an angel shark around Fire Rock somewhere, thresher
sharks at Pt. Lobos, Outer Pinnacles, and about two miles north of Lovers (from a boat),
blues 12 miles west of Cypress Pt and 3 miles west of Pt. Pinos, and the fin of a GW (from my boat)
at Aumentos. Net: there are several shark species hereabouts, and you can find most any of them
most anywhere.
