ooh, anthias, one of my all-time favorites. dunno why, just love to see a school over (or under) a coral head. seen any longfin out there lately?

clementyn, I haven't see any Longfin Anthias. Can't say as I have ever seen them here. The Hoover book states they prefer depths of 100 feet or more. That's not to say they are not shallower but I have not encountered them. Maybe I don't check them close enough to be sure they are all not Bicolor Anthias.
 
Two things irk me about this photo:

1) It's so colourful;
2) It was taken on a Monday! :)

But seriously, what an excellent photo, Jim. Wish we had this species in our waters - it's beautiful.
