Are the lobster shells soft right now? I am going to take a boat out of Green Harbor for the first time this year and was going to maybe hit Cowen Rock. Any suggestions?

My understanding is that lobsters do not have a "molting time". A lobster molts whenever it grows too big for its shell, which can happen any time of the year. When water is warm and food is plentiful, they molt more often, so you are more likely to find a soft shell, but there is no time when ALL lobsters are soft shell.
