I throw mine in the dishwasher every year or so. Seems to work.

I have a similar issue - diving every day for months the gear never gets dry and black spots of mould formed near the glass of the mask.

Is the bleach going to ruin the glass if I soak the full masks and snorkels in a solution with bleach?
I'm always a bit worried of glass getting opaque, or more prone to fog

I used a 50/50 bleach/water solution, letting the mask soak for 48 hours due to the heavy mold buildup. No issues with the glass going opaque. I also used the same bleach/water solution for my other mask, letting it soak for 24 hours. I did have some issues with fogging during my recent trip to the Caribbean, but had no issues when using the mask in cold water.

Better than bleach would be a steramine solution. It is supposedly gentle on materials like rubber, plastic, and metal. You get steramine powder tablets typically meant to be dissolved to prepare the solution.

This is the inside of my nose pocket. Managed to get some of this **** off with a plastic/nylon dish scrubber, but you can see it's still got some. I'm not sure it's mold -- it's more scaly and crusty -- but what do I know.

Anybody else had to deal with this? (It's a Hollis M1. Can it be disassembled?)

Burn it and buy a new mask. Seriously!

Same mask after soaking in 50/50 bleach and filtered water and a session with a nylon dish scrubber.
