I'll chime in with the report of a great group of people, couldn't have asked for a nicer bunch of divers :)
Fills were about 2600to 2900 (dang oceanic gage)
I had a bunch of "firsts" on this trip and I learned much and had a blast!
.. thanks to all of you :D

I think I have been taken over, I want to go shooting NOW! For anyone who doesn't know (:54:), the black grouper (22lb) was my first shot ever w/ a speargun and the yellowtail (20lb) was my fourth. :yeahbaby: Sorry everyone, I just can't stop telling everyone - I still can't believe it :)

DB's firsts ...

Florida Dive
Drift dive
Underwater SMB deployment ... with Kimber's own pink spool!! :jump:
04.gif

Deepest dive -107ft
Longest dive - 94min (Venice Beach)
Number of dives in one day - 5
Number of dives in one trip - 12
Warmest water - 82*
Touched a WWII wreck, the Baja California, sunk by a U-Boat
Collected fossil shark teeth at Venice Beach in Florida
Roughest seas - 4 to 6ft ... Sometimes had that 100ft boat rolling almost 40*

Almost the whole time my fill was right around 3000....
Anyway I had a great time-am I the only one who liked the food?!
There really isn't anything I would change on that entire trip but make it longer!!!

I swear that thing looked twice as big underwater...

I'll say it was an all around blast. The group was awesome (as if that would be any doubt)

My fills were between 2500 and 2700 (I just checked my log) - I only went into deco twice, and only pirated my tank once.

I thought the food was fine, for being cooked in a small kitchen, I wasn't expecting gourmet meals though. The ultimate getaway isn't billed as a luxury liveaboard, and really I wasn't expecting anything more than what it was. Everything else about the boat was great, although I thought the lounge was a little cold :frosty:

My only complaint, was way the captain dropped us on the reefs. It would have been better if we did a current check (of some sort) before dropping everyone in the water. Also, it would seem like staggering the groups, instead of dropping everyone at the same time would make the waiting for pick up less. I wasn't wildly fond of hanging out in the water for 15-20 minutes - waiting to get picked up. I guess more diving would have been ok too :D

The bottom line - I would do it again.

Why?
... was there something in the water you wished to avoid? ;)
