I would LOVE to go again, but I just got my new equipment and won't have a chance to try it out before going into the OW....probably not the best idea for me...hopefully in the future, I'll get out on the Mo2vation dives again! I had so much fun in May!!!

If you have your gear and it is set up you should be able to figure out the details, just like you would need to figure out the details with rental gear. If you need help setting it up there are many (myself included) who would be happy to help.

It is fine to choose not to go because you have genuine apprehensions about the dive or your ability to deal with the new gear on a boat and not in a controlled environment, but if you are begging off just because you are shy then I say come jump in!

I would be happy to buddy with you, or scubalaurel, or pretty much anyone.:D I'm not an instructor, just a diver.

Mark..thanks for the encouragement! I'm definitely not shy and have been on the Mo2vation dives before in May, but honestly, I was hoping to make sure the equipment worked first and I had control over it before forking out money for a dive and then having to abort the dives because I'm unsure of the equipment or I find it doesn't work....know what I mean?

I also know the Magician (been on her before), so the environment isn't unfamiliar to me....just my equipment! LOL

Jodi: Find a pool, get wet, and then come on and join us. :D

Does anyone know which sites we'll be hitting at Catalina? Are we looking at sites like Ship Rock and Blue Cavern, or more like the Italian Gardens and Casino Point? Obviously choices vary with conditions, but if there's a general intent, it might be helpful to know. :)

Getting excited! A friend of mine will be joining us,too. She goes by ScubaLady here on the board. Sooo, Christian, add another to the SB list :D

Thanks Mark for being willing to be my buddy. I look forward to meeting you all on Sunday :blinking:

Billy, are you taking pics? I'll be your buddy, if'n ya want. :) I'll be shooting, though, so it'll be on the slow and easy side...

Darn...darn...darn....my instructor/friend was able to get me weighted tonight and I swam around the pool for 2 hours.....the weird thing is because of the new wetsuit, I have to ad extra weight until the suit becomes compressed....oh well....not used to donning all the weight, but I'll be able to shed it as the wetsuit breaks in...

But too bad the Magician is now full....I'm ready and weighted to go! Next time....
