I have a small decision to make for a purchase I am going to do soon, hopefully tomorrow or the next day. My LDS is 4 blocks away and sells Scubapro equipment. Another dive shop is 50 minutes away, much less personnable employees. and sells Aqualung and Apek. Both dealers are offering pretty good prices. I dive in Mexico or the Carribean once a year for a week and in local inland Wisconsin lakes in the summer. I really would like to patronize my LDS with a larger purchase, but need some reassurance that the MK 25 will work out for me. I don't plan on heavy silted or extreme cold condiitons. Thanks for any input on this dead horse beaten subject.

Both are excellent regs. Give the business to the shop you want to be doing business with.

Brands you want to buy
Training you want to pursue

In my case, my business gets split between 2 local shops mostly, with an occasional purchase at 2 others.

It's good to support your sport!

Go with the Mk 25, but get the new X650 second stage. It is the same price as the S600 but has a couple of significant design advantages and is an even better second stage.

I've been diving Legends since they first hit the street - in my opinion they are the easiest breathers I've ever tried.

I have been waiting for about a month now for the Egress Octo on order for the Legend LX to come in to the LDS. Still is not there. I have read that the SP X650 is now available and shipping. I am leaning towards the Scubapro due to the proximity and repair facilities nearby. Thanks for your input again!

I've been diving the Legend. My experience tells me with the Legend close service is not an issue. I have friends diving the ScubaPro and service seems to be an issue with them. You choose.

I just got back from my LDS which sells SP, Legend and Apeks. I talked to the manager about the delay with the Egress Octo. and he called the factory sales dept and was told it will be available late January maybe. So, I bought the ATX 200 with the ATX 50 Octo. I guess my small problem has been solved. Thanks for everyones input. Also added a Sea Quest Balalnce BC to my collection of equipment.
The only bad part of this shopping trip was my credit card balance. Oh well it's Christmas time for me!

terrible choice. if you want to get rid of that reg i may be able to take it off your hands for $300 or so.
