Hey i was just wondering what everyone else has paid/ been offered at lds's to know where mine ranks in price wise after a visit today.

if they are authorized everyone will be in the same range most likely. The most any authorized dealer can do is ten percent off.

thanks that what i was looking for... just wanted to know how low i could go... im not looking to rip off my lds but msrp is kinda high :S

But along with the 10% off, a good LDS can sweeten the deal with discounted or free services that the grey market guys would have a hard time competeing with. Maybe 25 free airfills. If you don't ask, they are unlikely to offer.

havnt heard of the g250v.. what is it exactly? as far as second hand goes... is it worth it trusting your life to something that someone else might have abused? i wouldn't mind using something that was properly taken care of... but im just not too sure about some internet deal... what are your thoughts?

As far as I know the G250V is just a rerelease of the original G250 which is superiour to the G250hp.
I own 6 scubapro regs and I have brought them all second hand off an auction site.
Everyone uses second hand regs except for the first time they use a new reg.
Personaly I would much rather buy a top line second hand reg than a new middle line reg.

true... so as long as i have it serviced first it should be like new as far as performance goes?

There is a chance you could buy a lemon. Damage from corrosion may not be able to be repaired (but the part can be replaced). It is a bit of a gamble I supose but any problems can be found and fixed by a good tech as long as parts are avaliable. Find out what constitutes a good reg in the brand you want research it and ask the right questions on the auction.
I have never brought a lemon scubapro. In fact I have brought a MK20 and M50 set, 2x MK25's and 2x s600s. MK10 and G250.MK20ul and G250 and a D350. most had little use. some never used. They all cost me less than what the 2 x MK25s and S600s would have cost new.
Since I have so many SPs I leaned how to service them myself.
