I am having a 5 foot long hose put on my MK2/R190 setup and was curious if anyone uses this combo and at what depth the breathing seemed to get harder. My LDS said it would take more effort but it would be safe. I went ahead and am having it done because I want to use long hose primary and bungee my alternate to get used to using them. I am getting a dive rite rg2500 setup in a couple months and I will already have a long hose for it.

Thanks,

Wes

Your LDS is wrong.

The lenght of the LP hose will make no practical differrence in how the reg breathes regardless of depth.

If anything the additional volume of the hose will create what amounts to an increased reservoir of intermediate pressure air and that will actually help overcome any lag in lifting the piston off the seat.
