MJU/Stylus 600 + PT-029 + 256mb xD?

Hey, I'm thinking about getting into Underwater Photography and was wondering peoples opions/experiences with this setup (MJU/Stylus 600 + PT-029 + 256mb xD)

Also;
1.Will a 256mb xD card big enough?
2.Approximately how many photos on a 256mb?
3.Does any have some photos taken with this camera?

I can get this setup for about $465 USD.

any comments and feedback greatly appreciated!

I started out with a stylus 300 and that had some limitations that stopped it being a good u/w camera (which was a shame as the weatherproof casing made it great - mine survived a flood at 30m!) - mainly in the lack of manual control - I can't really tell whether this has been resolved in this model from the dpreview site (so what follows may be irrelevant) but check if it has things like manual white balance and full manual programming as these are quite useful. Which is not to say it would be useless without them just that other options may be better.
