Mission 3 console, replacing compass

Is it possible to replace the compass on the Mission 3 console with another brand of compass. For example, the Suunto SK7.

I'm not happy with the performance of the compass that comes with the Mission 3, it seems to get sticky at about 10 degrees off of flat. I like the 30 degrees that the SK7 advertises.

As it is, I can't navigate with the Mission compass, I spend more time trying to hold it perfectly flat than following the compass itself.

So, I'd like to replace the compass with something else so I don't need to worry about the readings I'm seeing.

I like the rest of the console though.

Actually I have the same consol and the compass got brokern ! I am satisfied with its performance but just cant get another one to replace it. Did you replace yours ? do you still have the compass ?
