Search for diver missing off Cork coast called off for the night - RT News
The alarm was raised at 5.50pm when only two of three divers diving on a wreck 85 metres below the water surfaced.
The two divers were later brought ashore to Baltimore.
It is understood that the three, who were diving on the wreck of the SS Minnehaha 85 metres below water, are German.
Following the alarm being raised Rescue 115 from Shannon, as well as the RNLI lifeboats from Courtmacsherry and Baltimore, together with the LE Ciara searched the area.
The search operation was co-ordinated by Valentia Radio.
The SS Minnehaha is a passenger cargo ship which was torpedoed off the south west coast of Ireland in September 1917.
The wreck lies at 85 metres and a licence from the Office of Public Works would be required to dive at the site.
