Dead diver from Inglewood - taranaki-daily-news | Stuff.co.nz
A former Inglewood man has lost his life in a diving incident at Whangaparaoa.
Robert Terry Farquhar, 29, was located by the police dive squad off Matakatia Bay on Sunday afternoon after an extensive search the day before failed to find him, Sergeant Jamie Bissett, of the Orewa police, said this morning.
Mr Farquhar had been diving with friends in the bay and was swimming back to the beach about 4pm on Saturday when he disappeared from view.
The death has been referred to the coroner and an investigation, including a post mortem, will be carried out to determine what caused his death.
