Though at 73 years old seems like there could be possible medical complications too, who knows

Maybe more likely, but not a given. I'm 74, much healthier than I deserve, and much more likely to dive from a mistake - diving or driving. I do try to work at being safer, but it's not my nature. I had lunch with an Ex from years ago recently, we chatted some about my diving, and remembering my nature she was not at all surprised that I am usually the only one on the boat wearing a vest or the only one in the water with a PLB.
