I thought that readers would enjoy how it was that I "missed the boat" so to speak on my most recent trip to Coz.

As loyal readers will know, I have my own place in Coz and last month I decided to make a short (1 week-ish) trip to the island sans DH. I would (and did) just dive, eat, read, sleep, when ever I felt like it. On my last day, I was up early to head off for the ferry. I drank the last of the milk in the fridge and was just going to bring in my bicycle when the phone rang.

It was my husband. "Oh hi David. What's up?" I asked. He said I thought you were coming home last night. "No", I said. "Tonight." He asked me when I changed my plans and I replied that I hadn't. That I was always coming home Wednesday. "Marg," he said, "today is Thursday." I asked him to call my office to let them know I wouldn't be into work that day.

So it goes to show just how much you can relax in Coz - even if just for a week.

I paid a zillion dollars to Air Canada to get me on a flight that afternoon. And another zillion dollars to a taxi driver in Playa del Carmen to get me to Cancun to make that flight.

WOW!! Sounds like a wild day!! And the couple zillion extra dollars probably didn't make you too happy! :shocked2: But at least you got an extra day in Coz!! :D
