I know in certain country there is a minimum age to dive ...my son is 11 and
i wanted to know if he could shore dive with me in Bonaire.

thanks

A PADI Junior Open Water Diver (a certification which an 11 year old could earn) is certified to dive to a depth of 40 feet. As there are PADI dive centers pretty much every where in the world, you shouldn't have any trouble finding someone who will allow your certified son to dive. We took a shop trip to Bonaire a couple of years back, and one of the divers was a 12 year old boy. We had no problems.

Not yet certified? There are a couple of PADI dive shops in Brockville (or head down to Mallorytown) who can take care of that for you. Your son could do all the class and pool lessons here, then complete his open water dives down south.

Just my two cents....Cheers!

Thats exactly what we are doing... he is doing is OW right now and an instructor
over there that i know will do his 4 certif dives in january.

thanks

Oh, that minimum age. Living on a island with a government-run brothel does things to your mind. :eyecrazy:

My LDS said they'd certify a 10-year old.

I have had the pleasure of diving with 2 12yo's on Bonaire. Don't recall anyone asking about age. As long as they had a C-card they were divers.
