20 years to be an E-5? That's entry level management in our services. You're a joke if you're an E-5 with that many years of service. I don't even know if they let you serve 20 years at that rank because you've shown zero aptitude.Just an observation, the ranks some of the posters on here optain in only a few years. I served 20+ years in the Royal Australia Navy, and promotion to ( your E5 ) in less than 4 years was not very common at all. You were called a "Micky Mouse" if prompted before your first good conduct stripe (4 years). I also understand that some promotion streams are faster in some branches due to their size. This is not about officer ranks. The Rupert's have their own way of doing that.![]()
