hi, i'm thinking of turning my spare mikron regs into a pony set-up,
but as i don't have a manual i don't know if there's any limits to my plans...
so i guess the question is can mikron regs be used with enriched air...
any help is greatfully recived...

wolfy...

i spoke to a man at a bus-stop,
and he says it's totally alright to use the mikron regs with nitrox...
so if you wondered now you know...

but as i don't have a manual i don't know if there's any limits to my plans...
yes there are limits to everything, I am afraid that 200% is completely out of the question.

so i guess the question is can mikron regs be used with enriched air...
yes

thanks for the reply,
but i'm losted with your "200% is out of the question"...
what's that all about?...

Sorry 100% oxygen is as high as you can get, ie a limit. The comment was just a play on the theme.

The Micron will handle up to 40% out of the box without an issue. All o-rings Aqualung uses are PPDM they are oxygen compatible and will not emit a toxic gas if fire breaks out. Seat materials have been known to handle higher percentages without issue. The issue is lubricants used and of course liability.

I haven't heard of any issues. In gas blending class they talk about Titanium breaking down in High O2 environments but I don't know if there is any Ti in the mikron or if it is all an urban legend. I was kicking around the same idea since they are so compact! Let me know how they work out.
