It looks like I am getting a few days off this week and would love to get some diving in. It looks like a chance of rain both days but the forecast is calling for light winds and temps in the mid to high 40's.

Come on out...call in sick, you know you deserve it...tell the boss you are having eye trouble (just can't see coming to work)...everyone needs a sanity dive during the silly season :D

Cape Ann, Rhode Island, or anywhere in between!

Wish I could but I forgot my gear in Florida and have to go back to get it on Thursday.:54:

I'm up for Friday! Where ya wanna go?

I've been getting the itch to do cathedral or folly again, but the tide is low at 12:37 making Wetherill an easier choice.

Did I hear that CAD will run with just two?

John... Forgot your gear in Florida? That's a great excuse!

John
If you call them tomorrow during normal business hours and they will go with just the two of us, I'm good to go up there. I'm on day 7 of an 11 day stretch of 7pm - 7 am shifts and I basically just drive home and collapse into bed in the morning. Leave me a message, or I'll call you when I get up.

Where do you want to go? I've been wanting to go to Burnham Rock but don't really care. If you held a gun to my head and made me go to the Poling again I wouldn't whine too much. I really don't care, I just feel an overwhelming need to be cold, wet and in limited visibility.

OTOH, I'm willing to go off the sand, too. (Beach dives suck. Beach dives suck. Beach dives suck.)

Paul

I will give CAD a shout today. Burnham would be good but I have been itching to do the poling again too. Either works for me.

Geez John,
You make Whetherill sound real attactive. "It's a wicked long swim, the first part of the dive is wicked boring and you have to turn around right about the time you get to the good diving."

Oh, I wanna go there, I wanna go there!!!! If we're real lucky the vis will suck!

Hopefully CAD is open!

It's not that bad... the wall on the far side of the island is a bit of a swim...there isn't much to see getting there if the vis is poor...which isn't uncommon...I have never made it out there with enough gas to go to the bottom of that wall, but I am not diving an 80.

Whah :116: ...must be a quiet night at work?

5 am is usually when we've finally cleared out the traffic jams from the night before and taken care of everyone except for the ROGERS (Regular Overnight Guests of the Emergency Room. i.e. drunks) and before the current days onslaught begins. I hope for a half hour of relative qu*** around then, just before it's time to wake up the ROGERS and turn them loose.

Did you reach CAD?

Ah yes...frequent flyers...pick up em, drop em off, clean the inside of the truck with a hose, find a clean uniform and repeat. You got it easy, they are usually cleaned up and yakked out by the time they get to the er. You just have to hang a bag and watch them sleep...yep, mighty peaceful work it is :D Why did I ever leave it?? :shakehead At least it was more fun than the renal roundup.

CAD...I never managed to get near a phone that didn't ring first today. Too dang busy, too little staffing.

edit to add:
Forgot to mention. Hope you have a QUIET night!
