I'm booked on the Radiance of the Seas out of San Diego on Feb. 12. Does anyone have any information of dive operators and sites in Cabo, Acapulco, and Ixtepa (Zihuanejo)? I'm looking to book some dives with my son. Thanks for any information.

What is Radiance of the Seas, is it a dive boat?

John

It's a cruise ship.

Cabo would be the "best" place to dive among those ports you have listed.

I've used Amigos Del Mar in the past, but there are other operators that are rated higher since they now use pangas instead of the comfy trimaran.

Be aware that most Mexico diving (at least the Pacific side) is generally so-so, especially compared to California diving.

I dove with Manta in Cabo a couple times and had no complaints. They are located at the Marina which is convienient. They do several defferent trips including the Gordo Banks, Cabo Pulmo, and a quick one by Lands End which I thought was kind of cool. In September the water was in the high 70's I didn't wear a wetsuit. This time of year it is definately cooler. The only thing that bugged me a little was the boat traffic over head was a little like diving on the 405 freeway at rush hour.
