Plastic all the way!!! I would not even think about using a metal zipper anymore, unless the plastic will not work on your suit(Whites Fusion:depressed:). Last I heard DUI still thinks the plastic zipper is a fad and manufacturers are just using them because they are cheaper then the metal counterparts. So you will probably have to use an aftermarket repair facility like DRIS.

If I were replacing mine, Plastic all the way. The metal zips today, are not made like they used to be made. They start to fray, and the laminate falls apart. They are crappy and don't last nearly as long.

The plastic zips pull better, should last longer, are more flexible, and hold up to more abuse (Yes, even though they are plastic). Go plastic, don't look back!

My guys uninstalled over 100 zips (probably over 30 were DUIs) and installed Tizips as the replacement. We haven't had a single person come back and regret their purchase. We have probably sold that same amount of zips to DIYers....again, no complaints

meter zipper is stronger

Ha ha....and what makes you think so?

How about this, watch this video.....do the same experiment with your zipper. If it doesn't break...I will believe you.
