To be honest, I think the guy was after the insurance money. I find the whole story very hard to believe. It'd be interesting to dive the boat and see if the electronics (and personal effects) were still on board.

Shrimpers rank down there with longliners with me. Both totally devistate the ocean.
 
I can show you a missing reef, well, where an artificial was... the bottom on the day I Sharkbaite and I went to dive it was obviously cleaned up nicely... it looked like drag lines as far as we could tell each direction. No reef.

I can see for the insurance money. The free trade with Asia has crushed our local "Pink Gold" market because the prices of imported shirmp are lower than what it costs for a local scow to go out and drive around a few hours.
