Nothing like exploring the kelp for the topside... At least you'll find it next time. How far down from the steps did you end up? Sounds like a healthy hike back to the car.

Sorry I missed the dive. My stomach was doing some bad things that day.

No worries... I believe I was just around the corner. I could not see the steps where I exited and I didn't want to walk any further from my entry point than I already was to check.

The real problem was that the current picked up and I was able to cover more ground than I originally hoped and ended up exited at a location that I had not scoped out. Having hung out at this beach for years I remembered everything but the kelp.. I don't think I'll be forgetting it anytime soon.
