I had the same problem with the cradle and the mac. Download the drivers and you should be all set. The problem "I" am having is trying to save location information. After I enter the location info, and say move down to the next dive, the info just goes away.
Also, when I launch the program, I see a really quick error message pop up and then go away very very quickly. I can't read what it says. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Anyone else have problems like these?
Otherwise, I love the computer.

After plenty of frustration and wasted time, I finally persuaded my Meridian Black Tec and Cradle to communicate with my laptop. I am pretty sure that the LogTrak software that was on the little optical disk that came with the computer was missing a few nuts and bolts. Here is what I did.

First I used the control panel > remove programs feature to remove all LogTrak and Silicon Labs driver programs that were from the disk. Then I restarted my computer, to begin with a "clean slate".

Next I did the following sequence:
Open (your) browser and go to SCUBAPRO - Home
Hover the cursor over "instruments" at the top, see a drop-down list, and left click on "Dive Computers".
See a page with a white field showing rows of product images (different computers and stuff).
Scroll down to the third row of products, look to the far right and find "LogTrak". Left click on LogTrak here.
(Now you should be at Home > Instruments > Dive Computers > LogTrak.)
Scroll down about two-thirds of this page and find blue boxes with white lettering.
(I have a PC with Windows 7. If you have a Mac, choose the appropriate boxes.)
Left click on the blue box that reads "LogTrak 1.2.0.1-Windows", and proceed to download and install this program.
Left click on the blue box that reads "Interface drivers - Windows XP/Vista/7
Download and install this driver. this one can be tricky. You probably want the one that ends in 64 (not 86).
Re-start your computer.
Plug your Cradle in to a USB port.
Start your LogTrak program.
Find the word "Extras" near the top, left click on it and see a drop-down, and thanleft click on the word "options".
You should see a dialogue box at the center. Find the menu box (with a small black triangle at the right), it will probably read "Plug Cradle, Rescan..."
Left Click the small black triangle and see a drop-down menu. Left Click on "COM 3", thenclick on "OK".
(Your computer probably doesn't have a physical serial port connected at COM 3, but to be backward-compatible, today's computers are configured with a virtual COM 3 "port". This is what Silcon Labs configured your Cradle to connect through.)
Now place your Meridian Computer in the Cradle.
Near the top of the LogTrak Window, left click on "Dive", see a drop-down, and left click on "Download Dives".
The Meridian should be communicating with your computer now, showing you a progress bar for data being transferred.

Please post to let me know if this works for you.

I too have a problem with it on a Mac. No matter what I do, I always get the message "Connection failed!".
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling LogTRAK and the drivers. I've tried the drivers from the Scubapro Meridian website, and the ones that had been posted here in an earlier post.
Also I don't get the option to choose the COM port. There's only "SCUBAPRO Cradle" or "Infrared Interface".
Does anyone know any solution? I'm very close to smashing it with a big fat hammer...

Hola Masheen
Yo tengo el mismo problema con un Chromis, estoy muy decepcionado de Scubapro, creo que sus computadoras son unas porquerías, Yo voy a pedir la devolución de mi dinero. Comprare un Creesi espero funcione.
