Going diving where sharks are going to be present. Can I dive if I have my period?

While I didn't look at the other posts h2Andy listed to see if this was already mentioned, DAN also has info on this topic, and it should further put your mind at ease, especially coming from a premier source of diving medicine.

Hey, maybe you'll attrack some really big sharks... woohoo!!

Just kidding sweetie.. Sharks are actually more attracted to urine then menses, and heck.... I don't know too many divers that don't pee in their wetsuits or any that have been gobbled up "mid-strream".

I've never had an issue with sharks, other than them running scared of me and me not getting a better look at them (with or without menses). It truly is a priveledge to share space with them, I hope you'll get the chance sometime soon..

Have fun on your trip..
