What does it take to become a member of the Great Lakes club? I know to become a member of the Wreck Valley club I had to dive with a member. I am sort of in the middle of these two clubs (living in Pittsburgh) and wanted to participate in this club as well. My LDS dives at Gilboa quite often and I plan on being there August 16th. If possible I'd like to meet up with some of you peeps from the Great Lakes club and dive. Please fill me in on the details.

Thanks

Daryl

Posting has granted you access. Now that you are a member you can follow along with the excapades; we typically have Meet & Greets twice a year so at a minimum you will want to try and attend those. Otherwise you can always find someone looking for dive buddies in this forum.

Welcome aboard.

Don't forget as a new member you have to buy the first round of beers.

If I am not mistaken, I think all dues money is sent to me! :eyebrow:

Welcome aboard Daryl.

Make sure to check out the Lake Effects Divers also - it's a subforum of the GLWC. Right now a gathering is planned for July 30th on Lake Erie. SCUBAJenny is coming up from Florida and we're meeting near her family's place on the Southeastern end of the Lake Erie. That'll be a lot closer to you than Gilboa. Some of us are camping there as well.

Looking forward to meeting you.

I may very well come up that weekend. I have been dying to dive Lake Erie and that is only 2 hours away from me. I camp up at Conneaut Lake often as well which is about a half hour away or so from Lake Erie. I also plan on diving at Gilboa on the weekend of August 12 - 14. I will be looking for dive buddies then.

Thanks

I dove Lake Erie last weekend. The trip was a blast! Diving was just OK, but I'd dive LE again.
