Amazing wreck shots, Jam! It's incredible that you can convey so many moods of a solitary, inanimate object.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I was happy with how these pics turned out :).

Another shot...

Jamdiver:
Early morning shots at the Palisadoes strip.......
Long, narrow strip of land near Port Royal, Jamaica.

Pillar del Caribe

Ran aground decades ago.....
Attempts have been made to tow it to sea previously but they've all failed

Very nice Ken, wonderful macro, lovely colours and great composition :).
Wish I could take pics that good underwater :).

Some more shots from today, I still have a couple to edit.......

Round-about

Roundabout just prior to the Norman Manley International Airport.

In a burst of creative thinking, someone decided to use an old Air Jamaica tail as a centrepiece in the roundabout.

Downtown Kingston

Was once the commercial and cultural centre of Kingston....

Now it's best days are behind it and only the impressive and ornate architecture stand as testament to its times past of splendor and nobility .

Geez, those are sweet shots Jam. I driven past that wreck so many times and never taken the time to pause and have a look. I need to pause more.

Jamdiver:
Now i've seen it all, up to now i've always heard that Cow bay was a horrible dive site!!!
LOL...
I guess at first glance, you could think that.
As you know it is a rather silty site that gets deep close to shore and has poor viz most of the time. Doesn't sound too attractive. Maybe it has to do with the nutrient rich water, but some nice unusual creatures past through there some times. You kinda get the feeling you'll see a shark any time.
Also, there is a reef there (the fishermen call it 'deep rock', we call it Lim's reef) and because it is the only one in the vicinity, you find a good variety of creatures there. So far for me, the biggest crab and biggest moray.
If the viz is good, it's not a bad site to visit. If it's bad, good practice.:D

That's what I heard.......
I had some friends that dove it around last year, they must have dove the wrong part because all they saw was silt and mud......

If you get the chance you should dive Bowden in St. Thomas, last time I was there, around a yr ago I think, I saw schools of horse eye jack, african pompano, atlantic spadefish, nice coral and god knows what else..

Did so once for my 10th and 11th dive (I think). It was nice.
Need to get back there. I think I could appreciate it more now.

Ken, Fastmarc, Jam: Really nice shots. Jam, I love that first shot of the wreck, catching all the reflected colors of the Sunset. It's eerie, like the feeling Disney tries for but fails in Pirate movies.
