Wonderful Blue!!
I love the dragonfly and the ladybug, great colours and composition :D and the bokeh is so schweet ;)

I wish sometimes I had bought the 100mm instead of my Canon EF-S 60mm macro, but this isn't too bad either ;).

Playing around in the garden this morning..

Thanks Jam,

Your images really helped to inspire me to get a macro lens. I tried to get a front end close on the dragonfly because I remembered one of yours but it was up in a tree and would not cooperate... Love your gallery! Thanks for the continued inspiration.

One of my hobbies is flying and most of my 3000 hours of flight time has been in experimental planes and a lot of it spent looking at the world upside down hanging from my hooker harness... With that in mind, as well as the below story, it was a special moment for me to capture my girlfriend's first aerobatic flight in an open cockpit Taperwing WACO that is currently owned by a good friend. This is an amazing plane and only one of two built from original factory jigs by RARE Aircraft.

There is a great All American Flyboy story about these two planes but not the historic garb that you are expecting... One was owned by a senior AA captain and the other by Harrison Ford the actor. The senior AA pilot was approaching NY and witnessed the 911 terrorist attacks on the world trade towers from his unique vantage point from the cockpit of an American Airlines jet that was inbound to LGA (LaGuardia).

Both he and his wife are pilots and at the time living the good life, however, he is one patriotic All American flyboy. When he landed he called his wife, prayed, then turned in his AA wings for full time fighter pilot wings because he felt like he had to do his part to right the wrong that he had witnessed…

Without hesitation he sold off his big boy toys and big home as they downsized and since that time has been flying combat missions in the middle east and has no immediate plans of coming home. He says that he will never forget...

In the meantime, while he fights to right a wrong, we pray for him, our country and toast him with a roll every time his Waco leaves the grass strip for another flight around the patch...

Sounds like your friend is a pretty awesome guy. You really have to respect his courage and patriotism.

Also, good job to your girlfriend for riding in that open cockpit plane, I'm not sure I'd have the guts. Do you have any "after" photos? lol

Beautiful, Cfelliot, looks like a lot of fun!
