Had some breakfast, now it's nap time.

The little guy thought for a while about coming up too, but decided to go for the better part of valor.

This senior citizen just wanted to sleep. I don't think anything was going to wake him up.

Myakka River State Park near Sarasota Florida - Myakka Canopy Walkway

This was a twelve foot gator that we found in the Myakka River State Park near Sarasota Florida. It was under a bridge and since I only had my Canon EF 24-105L lens with me, I figured that I needed to get a bit closer to it for a good shot… In my safari shirt I ventured over the railing and down the incline. When I was just about in good range for some close up shots a kid on the bridge above started throwing rocks at Mr. Gator… He was not too happy and fortunately I was not too close…

I came across these drakes in Virginia in a habitat that I explored while visiting family. The boys were on patrol while the hens were silent and still on nests near the edge of the pond. I only had my EF 24-105mm L f/4 with me on this trip as I was traveling very light so yes, I was very close for this shot….

I particularly like this one... can't put my finger on why, exactly, other than to say it's one of those images that "grabs" me. :)
Very nice indeed.
