Hi,

This is a long shot but I'm considering plunging my old Canon 450D (don't laugh...) into the underwater world.
Now Ikelite is the only brand which still produces the housing for this model but at the price they're selling it (1,600 US$) I might as well forget about this brilliant (sic) idea and permanently retire my old SLR.

But not without a fight!

I know that Meikon sells a casing for the 550D and that the 550D is an improved version of the 450D with buttons at the same place (but in different order).
I know that the Sea & Sea RDX 550D (discontinued) could be used for the 450D with a small adjustment (the infamous release rubber).
So I'm thinking... (anyone with me?)

Anyway if anyone has ever had the boldness to attempt such a jump into the technical unknown or if you have any opinion on this puzzling matter please feel free to share.
Else let this post die its slow death in this black hole that is the dubdubdub...
