Hey! I put it over in the Venice conditions thread...

Site Location: (Alhambra)
Water Temp: Recorded over the 2 hour 20 min. dive - 78-80
Vizibility: 7-10'
Tide state: Unknown (didn't matter, but it was probably on the lower side based on the sandbar)
Wind: From the east (as it has been the past week+)
Surf: mild, low waves entering and exiting (morning dive and only into the new artificial reef)
Presence of drift algae: Spawning particles were noticed.

This was my first dive to VB since August of '08. KBeck is still unfamiliar with the area and we were diving a buddy line.

Temps were great at 78-80 on my computer. We entered between the high palm trees and made our way out to the northern edge of the artificial reef. Algae was at a minimum from last year's dives, but I did notice all the "spuge" in the water from all the spawning.

We never made it past 17'. I counted 266 small teeth from my single dive (don't know how many KBeck found). We ate lunch with Walter & Nancy at Pizza Hut, went home to shower and make it to a graduation...
