I posted this thread a while ago, but I sure remember where it was I stayed. It was M-A-T-A-V-A. Not Matana. You can hear all the good press you want, but I'm telling you my experience. As far as the food was concerned, it was a disaster. One full day of fever and hurling. Best case scenario was just eating the lousy food and not getting sick. Unfortunately, as I mentioned on my previous post, By the fourth day half the resort was spewing chunks. Not one of my better dive trips. Now it's off to the southern Red Sea in May. I think I"ll stick to liveaboards from now on. At least when I"m i the more desolate regions of the globe.
