What area of MA? Hathaway is on the Cape. I’ve heard there is some in western MA, but don’t know for certain.
Hathaway Pond is a nice little dive, sunken boat, that type of thing. Just watch out for the thermocline, it can be a rough 10 degree drop.

I go in on the RI side off of South Shore Rd in Burrillville. There is a canoe launch area with a descent size parking lot and a short walk to the water. I know you can go in by Douglas State Forest entrance but I think there are fees, at least for us RI'ers. There is a boat launch and beach area there.
