On masks that i have seen they have a special coating that makes everything look clearer on the atomic mask its called ARC.
Is it worth putting extra money in for this? :toast:

It's all RELATIVE. If the mask with the coating will allow YOU to have a more enjoyable time diving, then by ALL means it is worth it.

A "good deal" is a state-of-mind. If you can reason that the purchase price delivers an acceptable level of goods and services that are satisfactory to you, then it does not matter what it costs.

Some masks use what is called white glass, the vast majority use green glass. All should be tempered. A few have coatings on them such as you refer to and IMO I would not worry about that. The Atomic with the ultra clear white glass is all you need.
