Martha's Quarry closed for a while??

Has anyone heard the latest on the closing of Martha's quarry? I think Fred closed the place to blast out a new ramp leading down to the water.

I know many of the area dive instructors are having to hold classes elsewhere. Not a good thing in these days of expensive gas prices to have to drive miles further.

I know Fred sometimes monitors and posts here. Perhaps we can get the straight talk from Fred himself.

I'm still wondering, like a lot of others, when they will reopen.

I talked to Fred the other day on the phone; he said he might be open for a couple of weekends in October

I have never been to Marha's and if he opens for a couple of weekends in October I would definately like to go. If anyone is interested, PM me.
