The trail at Marineland is back in business. The upper 3/4 of the trail is now a combination of compacted dirt and asphalt. It is slightly longer than it was, but much easier to haul a wagon over. Parking is back at the temporary lot. Conditions today looked marginal at best, but the waves are calming down, so maybe tomorrow will be a great day to dive.

Can't wait to get back down there. Last 2 weeks have been pretty bad conditions, so I haven't been able to get wet. The trail opening will surely help my odds though. Surfline's showing Tuesday morning looking really good, so you'll know where I'll be. Thanks for the heads up.

"Heard there was a fire at Marineland today, which spread up to Hawthorne.. burning a total of ten acres.. hope nothing important was lost"

We dived there this morning (Sat.)

Excellent dive. Walk-in entry, waltz-out exit. Had a great time.

Coming out and seeing the hill across the street burning was kinda weird.
