Really like these two masks, but have not seen a direct comparison. Has any one compared the two mask to get an opinion. They seem to be the best masks for offering the widest field of view. Also considering the Mares Shooter Mask, Mares X-Comfort, and Ocenic Shadow. I am planning on using the mask for both Rec/Tech diving. Thanks for the input.

I've heard a lot of good things about the visulator, but have yet to try it myself. The other one I was looking at was the Cressi Big Eyes, but I've heard a lot of complaints about the mask seal being inconsistent - working well one dive and then suddenly (for no obviously apparent reason) it starts leaking.

No leaks (I realize that's a face-shape issue more than anything) and a great field of view. The strap adjustment is also very simple, even with gloves on.

I can definitely recommend the X-Vision.

I tried my brothers x-vision a couple of months ago and all I can say is wow... the view is much better than my Oceanic Carib. My face is a little chubby and I don't like shaving so I often have all kinds of leaks - especially when I smile... I have been through several masks during my hunt for the perfect fit and so far the x-vision beats all my other masks by a long shot.

It seems that there are a lot more people that have tried the X-Vision. All the reviews are very positive. There are no LDS that have either of these masks in stock. I'm still hoping to hear some Visualator comments. Not sure which mask would be better for a larger face and nose user. Thanks for the comments so far!

I have both the Cressi Big-Eyes and the X-Vision. I had trouble with the Cressi too. The X is awesome and does not leak, although I had gone a couple of days without shaving and got some minor leakage. After I put the razor to the stubble it was fine.

A couple of folks I know have the Visulator and while the lens is large that also makes the volume bigger as well. They both seemed to like the mask FWIW.

Only complaint I have about the visualator is that it seems to push in/press on the bridge of my nose between my eyes. Probably just me wearing the mask too tight. Its not painful, just uncomfortable at times. Field of view is great. Never had any problems clearing it, even with a larger mask volume.

So is the visulator considered a high volume mask then? I realize the viewing area is larger, but it sits a bit closer to your face.

I have the Tusa Visualator and it is a great mask. It is low volume (sits close to the face) and has the widest and tallest field of vision of any mask I have tried. It would suit a bigger face as it tends to sit higher on your forehead than most masks.
Looking at guages attached to your bc is easy and doesn't require any dramatic tilting of the head. I haven't tried the X-Vision but you will be happy with the Visualator.
