Mares x-Stream fins - SIZING

I just purchased a pair of Mares X-Stream fins online. I ordered size small fins and I wear 3mm boots for tropical dives. I wear a womens 81/2 or 9 shoe size. I am wondering if these fins will be too large for me. Do you think I will need to purchase a thicker boot to make the fins fit better?

probably be easiest to let the fins arrive and try them on with your existing booties first, and see where you stand before blindly ordering more stuff......or sometimes, for things requiring 'fit' (wetsuits/booties/gloves/fins/masks/BCD) it really does make more sense to buy at a local dive shop...and save your WWW purchases for things not so sensitive to 'fit' (like a reg or computer)...just sayin'.
