I'm looking at buying the Mares Wide Quad, simply because my eyes need a larger screen and my brain appreciates the more open, consistent, easier to grasp display on it. I don't like the way many displays have lots of changing little bits and multiple changing indicators. The Quad seems to be just as good as anything else for basic (air or nitrox, two tanks in a day, nothing extreme) diving, and the mineral glass instead of plastic screen is a nice perq. I know, I'm paying for that wide clear display, that's just the way it is.
But has anyone used this, and found any quirks or drawbacks that would make this a bad choice? Is the (apparently you can't disable them?) inclusion of deep stops a problem?
