I am thinking about upgrading my old scubapro seawing fins( not nova) and I am looking at three different fins from Mares. Reading the descriptions on the Mares site does not really explain any differences between the fins and the descriptions seem to be rewritten three different ways saying basically the same thing. Has anyone tried these fins and been able to describe any significant differences between them? It is a bonus if you can compare the Mares fins to my seawings but that's a long shot.

the Mares fins are Excite Pro, Quattro, and Superchannel.

the super channel is ever so slightly more flexible than the seawing (but it’s tough to compare, the seawing I have I bought used/old so it might have stiffened up 🤷🏽‍♀️), seawing felt less resistive in the loading phase of a frog kick as well (it’s an ever so slight amount of effort anyway)
The quattro is stiffer than the seawings

Haven’t tried an Excite Pro

But it all boils down to your inteded application/preferences

The Quattros are awesome for frog kicks (but too stiff for my knee), I don’t habe one but tried it a couple times
I almost exclusively frogkick, no flutters except in an “emergency”
The superchannels are very travel friendly

Efficiency wise, I liked the seawing best (because of their better back kick ability as well)
Knee load wise I like the superchannel best
The Quattro should be the most efficient but it was too mich for me
I mainly dive a SP GoSport at the moment

I also use SP GoSport [or the Gorilla version at home] except when I know there is a stronger current expected on the dive.
Then the Mares Excite Pro are then my 'go to' , the Gorilla SP are also good in a current, the Excite Pro, just better [for me].
The Quattro I have are now retired.

If you have weak legs, cramp easy and want shorter fins for travel, the Excite Pro are not for you.

Edit: Typo , crap to cramp 🫣 if you have weak legs, it may happen.:acclaim:

I used Superchannels for years. Just recently got some Quattros because I wanted them. I didn't really notice a difference on the two trips I've taken them on so far.
