Er...chest area open?...I think my shirt colar is too tight!

By the way, I'm having some problems with it. I'm being flipped forward. I think it's because I have 6 lbs in the each MRS and another 5 lbs in each FRONT pocket. Some people said it's because of the full arms length short 7mm suit which cause my legs to sink to the back. It's probably like Vic said, I have to put the two 5 lbs on the back instead. If it doesn't work, I'll do away with the MRS and use a weight belt with all the weights at the back.

:11: Kind of a pain to purchase weight-integrated and then have to wear a weight belt anyway...
Meanwhile, back at the pool, for my test drive...I was wearing a full 3mm suit and hood, I had 2x4lbs in the back and 2 in each MRS. I was slightly overweighted, since I was using the weight I used with a 7mm and hood...but no tipping, so sounds like Vic is right (which was likely a given ;) )

The sales staff at the store also mentionned that the bladder design was such that the design allowed the air to collect in different areas, according to your body position. I don't know if this was simply a dumbed down lesson in "air rises", or if there is something to it...but they said it was part of the trim system..i.e., you can consciously "guide" the air to the area of the BC you wish. Lean back and more air moves to the pocket area, away from the back and voila, you are in your chair... (Could have been a lovely peice of sales improv. as well) so---What Vic said, lol. I'm actually too new at this to even comment.

I will let you know if it's different, in the lake--- if our dive isn't cancelled because of winds.

Oh, and I said the chest area was open...try wearing yours without the shirt collar :yippie17:

I'm going to put the two 4 lbs. bags in the back and see what happens.

I've really been enjoying mine...comfy and easy to operate...and you? Better luck with "attitude" on the surface when you added trim weights in the back pockets?
Cathy

Well, I haven't done anything since my last post, but I'll be going to Monterey in two weeks. I'll let you know.

good! We'll compare notes...I am hoping to be in cuba in 2 weeks.

How do you get to Cuba? I've always wanted to go there, but never had the chance, even while I was leaving in Miami. I'm kind of a chicken when it comes to going to places with no one to guide me. Make sure you take some touristy pictures. I'm going to the Philippines this October and will be using the BCD...without any problems I hope.

Hello!
Sorry to just email you out of the blue. But I noticed that you dive with an XS Morphos? I actually just ordered one last night. It's a Twin vs the Pro (if that matters, I dunno). I really agonized over whether or not I wanted the Morphos or the Dragonfly Ariel. On one hand, the Morphos had AirTrim (which sounds AWESOME!), but on the other hand, the Ariel is cut for a woman.

As a small woman (5' 1.5" and 107 lbs), I worried that I would need a specifically "made for women" BCD to get a snug fit. What do you think about your Morphos XS? Does it fit well or is it a little roomy? Other then that, the Morphos seems like it's a pretty sweet BCD. I just wish they had a women's version!
Thanks for any advice you might have!
Judy

Hi! :sorry19z: sorry to jump in here...but this is actually a system I am considering as my next purchase---waiting for an x-sm to be ordered in to try the fit.

Any feedback from women regarding comfort/bulkiness considerations? :05:

How about the learning curve for air trim in general?

Thanks!

Cathy
