Any feedback on this unit? I have heard that this model does not tilt forward, but don't know if this is true or not.

I've got the morphus twin, the pro has the inflation tube outside the pocket, apart from that they are very similar,

choppy seas, Three mil shorty, AL80, 8lbs in MRS pockets ;)

calm water, 15l steel, drysuit, hood and gloves 4kg in trim pockets and 4kg in MRS ;)

No problems ;) The BC is very comfy diving and on the surface.

We've been pretty impressed with the new version... The pro seems more streamlined than it predecessor.. everyone who has tried it has like it.

Hi! :sorry19z: sorry to jump in here...but this is actually a system I am considering as my next purchase---waiting for an x-sm to be ordered in to try the fit.

Any feedback from women regarding comfort/bulkiness considerations? :05:

How about the learning curve for air trim in general?

Thanks!

Cathy

I wear a Mares Morphos Pro BC and I love it. The airtrim is simple to use and I have had no problems with it. I'm yet to have a problem with the MRS releasing accidentally on me. As far as how it is in the water, I have no problem with positioning or streamlining my gear. All in all, I am very impressed with the set up. Definatly a good buy in my opinion. Like anything else, opinions vary so don't listen to any one opinion.

Sorry, I couldn't give you a woman's perspective on this piece of equipment. :eyebrow:

However, I could say that it works great. The Airtrim is different, but I didn't have a problem getting used to it. Its no more complicated than having a different kind of door knob. There are two "buttons", the yellow to deflate and grey to inflate...or did I get it in reverse. :06:

By the way, I don't think you could ever accidentally release the weights with the MRS as it is tucked into a pocked. You have to push the release, tilt it out, and pull it out of the pocket to get rid of it.

Well, Gussy, an XS came in so I bought one :party2: Have only played on the pool so far, but the position of the deflator is rather handy, I think. You're right as well, in that the airtrim seems quite easy to use...and very quiet compared to other BC's when you dump or inflate, did you think?

Happily, the design is quite appropriate for a woman's frame :05: (though, for all the guys out there...it is NOT at all feminine in appearance, lol ...honest! ;) ) The chest area is quite open and even inflated, I didn't find it restrictive at all.

As mentionned earlier, it doesn't tip one forward at the surface---with the trim weights in, and like the advertisements claim, it really does position you like you're sitting in a lounger.

Details on actual diving performance in a few days, hopefully.

Er...chest area open?...I think my shirt colar is too tight!

By the way, I'm having some problems with it. I'm being flipped forward. I think it's because I have 6 lbs in the each MRS and another 5 lbs in each FRONT pocket. Some people said it's because of the full arms length short 7mm suit which cause my legs to sink to the back. It's probably like Vic said, I have to put the two 5 lbs on the back instead. If it doesn't work, I'll do away with the MRS and use a weight belt with all the weights at the back.
