Mares Avanti Quattro OR Mares Avanti Quattro Plus

I just finished my open water course a few weeks ago using a friend's cressi frog plus fins and decided to invest on a pair of fins myself.

Been reading some forum posts and the avanti quattro seems like a safe bet, but there is the new Quattro+ and the Quattro with ABS strap to choose from. I couldn't compare them myself because the local shop doesn't have them. Other than the obvious strap difference, the newer Quattro+ is made out of a new HI-FLEX material, so does it mean the Quattro with ABS strap is stiffer?

Is there anyone who tried both fins and can shed some light on the difference between them?

the difference in the is the quattro + fin blade is slightly longer may be a different buckle type no big deal
