March 26 - Haigh Quarry

I just got my drysuit in and really want to try it out. I am open to any time on Saturday, but would prefer to dive in the morning. I understand that it is both short notice and Easter weekend.

Is this the quarry in southern Illinois? I am moving to the OFallon area in July and am starting to look into Dive locations that I can research. Also do you know of a good dive shop in that area?

I totally agree with Ken. Mermet is great and Glen and his staff are the best.

I have made the 6 hour trip from Rockford, IL to Mermet several times and it is worth every minute!

Went diving at Haigh on Tuesday 4-5-2005 with Brad from WI (Moneysavr). Had the place to ourselves. Had two good dives. Saw a paddlefish over by the wall.

I can often dive during the week, if you want a buddy to go just PM me! Also going to Pearl lake on 4-23.
